How to Host a Retreat or Event at Camp Pee Dee
Hosting an event at Camp Pee Dee is very easy. Our various facilities can accommodate all your needs. Whether you are an individual hosting a family reunion, a youth director looking for a place to take your youth, or a school looking for a place to take students to experience the natural world, we have just what you need for a great experience.
Steps for planning your event at Camp Pee Dee:
1. Decide the approximate dates for your event (it is a good idea to have several options selected).
2. Call Camp Pee Dee (843-479-3051) to check availability. We will ask you for the following information:
● What facilities are you looking at using?
● When do you plan to arrive? depart?
● Are you doing your own food service or would you like us to provide that for you?
● Do you want the Camp Pee Dee staff to provide any program activities?
3. Once the dates and reservation details are decided, we will send you a contract.
4. When you return a signed contract with the deposit (10% of your estimated final cost), your reservation is complete.
5. Keep Camp Pee Dee informed about any changes to your numbers or plans.
6. At least one week prior to your event, confirm your final numbers with our staff if we are providing your food service.
7. Enjoy our great hospitality during your event.
Event Cancellation
No deposit will be refunded or transferred if cancellation occurs within 90 days of requested dates regardless of the date of contract signing unless another group can be found to rent the facilities at which 50% of the deposit will be refunded. If special financial arrangements have been made with Camp Pee Dee, the group is still responsible for the full deposit if cancellation is within 90 days of requested dates.
Insurance/Liability/Safety
For guest groups who hold insurance for their events/organizations, at least two weeks prior to event, a CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY INSURANCE, naming Camp Pee Dee as an additional insured, in the amount of at least one million dollars, needs to be on file in the Camp Pee Dee office. It can be obtained by calling your insurance company and asking them to fax it directly to us at 843-479-0506 or if they send it to you just mail it to us. The guest group also understands that the group and/or individual guests are responsible for their own health and accident insurance coverage.
